About BFN impact

At BFN impact CIC, we help people empower themselves to bridge the gap between their potential and their achievement.

We specialise in supporting career-starters and job-seekers who face systemic obstacles to their success, with specialist knowledge, and empowering strategies and support.

What We Do

Our online and in-person workshops are designed to support anyone facing barriers to employment.

We bridge the gap between your potential and employers' expectations, and on providing real opportunities for you to showcase your talent.

How To Get Involved

We're building a network where lived experience meets professional expertise.

Members can sign up for our clinics, specialists can partner with us to deliver high-impact services, and donors can directly support our mission to see 60% of our community thriving.

Empowering Potential, Creating Opportunity

At BFN Impact CIC, we believe talent is evenly distributed, but opportunity is not.

Our mission is simple yet vital: we help you bridge the gap between your raw potential and your ultimate achievement.

As the social enterprise arm of the Black Futures Network, BFN Impact is dedicated to clearing the path for career-starters, job-seekers, and professionals from all disadvantaged and underrepresented communities - including, but not limited to, the Black community.

If you have ever felt like the system wasn't designed for you to win, we are here to change the game. We don't just help you find a job; we equip you with the strategic toolkit to build a career on your own terms.

"(the development programme) was brilliant helping to apply for BBC. All of the stuff we covered really helped me realise what they're looking for, as well as to show what I'm aiming for."

Why BFN Impact? Our Unique Approach

We know the job market can feel like a maze, especially when systemic barriers, lack of traditional networks, or socioeconomic hurdles are stacked against you. Here is why our approach works:

  • Lived Experience, Not Just Theory: We aren’t looking down from an ivory tower. We understand the unique psychological and systemic challenges you face because we have lived them. We know what it’s like to navigate spaces where you are "the only," or to fight for an interview when your background doesn't match the traditional corporate blueprint.

  • Deep Recruiter Insight: We know exactly how the hiring machine works. With years of experience as recruiters and hiring managers, we understand what employers look for, how algorithms filter CVs, and what moves the needle in an interview. We pull back the curtain on the corporate hiring process so you can navigate it with total confidence.

  • Your Disadvantage is Your Superpower: Society often frames underrepresentation through a lens of deficit. We reject that completely. Navigating adversity builds unparalleled resilience, agility, lateral thinking, and problem-solving skills. In a rapidly changing, volatile global economy, these aren't just "soft skills" - they are the exact superpowers modern employers desperately need. We help you identify, package, and pitch these strengths.

"It has been eye-opening and it has been, I would say, shattering some glass ceilings and opening up different paths that we didn't know were possible."
